4.56 Gears and TruTrac Are In...

Well, the gears and diff are finally in. I have only been talking about it for a year! LOL

It is raining today, so I really can't tell what to make out of the TruTrac or the gain from the gears yet. I can tell you this, with the 4.56 gears, the engine spins those 28" tires a LOT easier. Man, can't wait for the track Wednesday...

They are calling for rain. The weather channel and NOAA are going back and fourth between 50% and 80%. If it does not rain, I will go, but I am not counting on it.

I let my Auto tranny work my 4.56's :p,on a serious note they are THE gear for a N/A 3V.

I rode with Marc yesterday and it doesn't take long for the revs to hit 7000 and slam your head back on each gear change:eek: Those DRs really save the day!!!!!

I'm bummed about GOOTC. With ODS Wednesday and the NVMC track rental at Mason Dixon on the 4th, I should have a lot of fun this coming week at the track.

I am really close to having this dialed in. I need to get line locks, adjustable track bar, poly engine mounts, tq limiters, and an AL DS. I just talked to Ron Leonard about geting a DS on Saturday too.

John, you know I am notorious for bouncing of the rev limiter. It's gonna be hard for me to keep up for awhile while I get use to all the changes... BUT if I pull a 1.7 60' and get the shifts right, I should be able to hang right with you... LOL

I was very happy to see the improvement, esp with these 28" tire. Good Lord it goes nice. Very cool upgrade.

I wish I had an auto. This car would be bumping 11's already.

Yea, it runs out of rpm's pretty damn quick. But I can still hit 100 in 3rd, so I'm good. :rolleyes:

Well, I got a chance to mess around on the street a little the other day. Damn that car hooks like it has spiked cleats! Like John mentioned, it will put you in you seat pretty damn tight too.

This damn rain is killing me. Every track day for two weeks has been a rain-out. I am going to head up to the NVMC Drag Day at Mason Dixon Saturday morning. Hopefully I can get some good numbers and find out exactly where I am at.

Hopefully I will be meeting Ron Leonard there too. He is hooking me up with a great deal on a take-off AL DS. Should be a great day.

You have an adjustable upper control arm already, don't you?

Adjustable lowers. I am going to swap them out for fixed lowers and and adjustable upper sometime in the near future though.

the Stock bushing is going to fail on you quik now, better hit up the old lady for a few more bucks for the adj upper.
your car is lowered and with the one peice DS the pinion angle needs to be adjusted for more noise in your future..
